This American Heart Association course is intended for healthcare providers taking Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR for the first time, or for those whose certification has expired. Current CPR certification is required for all people who work in healthcare, and also to be eligible for accepting work in your new career.
The curriculum is designed to provide healthcare providers with ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.
- Adult, child and infant CPR
- Use of the AED
- Barrier devices, and
- Bag Valve Masks (BVM)
All subjects are thoroughly covered using hands-on practice with friendly, professional and experienced instructors .
Upon Successful Completion You Will Receive AHA BLS Certification (valid for two (2) years).
Course Length: approximately 4.5 hours
Course Cost: $88.
American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS, and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association.
