What Does a Phlebotomist Earn?

what does a phlebotomist earn?If you’re thinking about enrolling in a phlebotomy course you may be wondering what does a Phlebotomist earn?

A lot of factors go into how much a Phlebotomist makes, such as qualifications, experience, hours worked, the area you live in, and the type of medical facility where the Phlebotomist is employed.

However, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) does report national and state pay data for various professions, including for Phlebotomists.

This information can be used as reference point for potential Phlebotomist pay.

What Does a Phlebotomist Earn According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics?

The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) of the U.S. Department of Labor is a federal agency responsible for measuring labor market activity, working conditions, and price changes in the economy.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the national median annual wage for Phlebotomists was $33,670 in May 2017. (What is a median wage? The median wage is the wage at which half the workers in an occupation earned more than that amount and half earned less.)
