Why BAMA?
Our Mission
The mission of Bay Area Medical Academy is to provide job-oriented training in high-growth, high demand specialized areas of the health care field, therefore fulfilling the needs of the medical facilities in the Bay Area while preparing individuals from different socio-economic, cultural and educational backgrounds for successful long-term careers in the field.
Bay Area Medical Academy’s goal is to serve its students and the medical community through excellent academic instruction and skills training utilizing both traditional and innovative means while maintaining a student-centered philosophy and understanding the diversity of individuals.
Bay Area Medical Academy is committed to the success of its students. This commitment begins with providing quality education, through experienced teaching staff and state of the art training equipment and learning aids.
We provide a nurturing learning environment, where every student receives personalized attention. We are a smaller school and that is what makes us better. For example, our staff, instructors, and administrators know every student by their first name. We structure our classes to ensure hands-on learning, a small student to teacher ratio, and provide additional coaching and lab practice hours for students who need it.
We not only prepare our students for successful entry into the medical field, but also develop a strong bond with each individual throughout their careers.
We take pride in the quality of our instructors. Our courses are taught by a very knowledgeable staff of registered nurses, clinical laboratory technicians and other healthcare professionals each with more than twenty years of experience.
Bay Area Medical Academy is registered with the Bureau of Private Postsecondary Vocational Education. Our Phlebotomy Program is approved by the State of California Department of Health Services - Laboratory Field Services Division. Our Medical Assisting and ECG/EKG Programs are approved for National Certification.
Bay Area Medical Academy is an approved training provider with CalWorks, Peninsula Works, Department of Rehabilitation, WIA, IRC and other government and non-profit organizations.
