Over the Holidays, BAMA students and staff were thrilled to donate toys to The San Francisco Firefighter’s Toy Program.
Beginning in 1949, with firefighters repairing broken toys and bikes for 15 families, The San Francisco Firefighter’s Toy Program has grown to 300 firefighters and friends volunteering their time to distribute over 200,000 toys to more than 40,000 disadvantaged children in 2015.
The program depends solely on donations, with collection barrels being placed at businesses, street fairs, Holiday parties, and other functions.
BAMA thanks The San Francisco Firefighter’s Toy program for all the great work that they do in ensuring that no child is left without a toy during the holiday season.
The Toy Program accepts donations of toys and money for buying toys throughout the year, not just the Holidays, and can be contacted on (415) 777-0440.
